How do I apply for an exemption for a Communications course?

Exemptions are granted based on an equivalent course with a grade of 60 or C or higher from another college or university. You require an Exemption and PLA request form, available in the Registrar's Office, plus official transcript and course outline from the college or university for the application process. Submit the documents to the Registrar's Office or to the Communications Co-ordinator / Lead Faculty on your campus. Refer to the Exemptions policy for further details.

How do I apply for Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) for a Communications course?

If you have the equivalent learning in a Communications course, acquired through life and work experience, you may be eligible to apply for Prior Learning Assessment. Contact the Communications Co-ordinator / Lead Faculty on your campus for more information or refer to the PLAR policy.

College Communications, COMM 1000, is not eligible for PLA.
