Program Description

In this entry level program, participants are provided the opportunity to explore the justice system from a community safety perspective. In addition, students explore their interests, assess career choices, experience college delivery of course material and prepare for the potential of further post secondary studies.

Students prepare for success in a variety of post secondary programs including Police Foundations, Community and Justice Services, and Protection Security and Investigations.

All credits completed for the certificate of achievement may be transferred to the respective diploma programs. Completion of the certificate of achievement does not constitute acceptance into the Police Foundations, Community and Justice Services or Protection Security and Investigations programs and the certificate of achievement is not equivalent to any of the diploma programs.

Students are required to sign a waiver indicating they are physically and medically able to participate in strenuous physical activity.

Applicants must have a valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C or HCP certificate before proceeding to participate in volunteer opportunities.
