Skills for Success – Lifestyle Management
For students with a specific learning disability and/or ADHD preparing to enter a Georgian College program in September 2012 or January 2013, this single credit course runs daily from 9am – 1pm from August 19 to August 31, 2012. This one credit course will provide students with the opportunity to experience campus and residence life, develop academic and learning strategy skills, and access all of the supports currently offered in the Centre for Access.
2012 Skills for Success application
ASD Transition Program
New for 2012, this program has been created for students with an Autism Spectrum Disorder scheduled to graduate high school in either June 2012 or June 2013.
From July 23 – August 17, this four week program – facilitated by Georgian College Disability Specialists and ASD specialists from Kinark – will provide transitional details to students wishing to experience both the academic and social expectations in a post secondary atmosphere.
Students interested in attending this program are encouraged to speak to their high school Special Education Resource Teacher for complete details. Brochure and application for the program will be available early in 2012
