When and how do I pay my tuition and related fees for Georgian College?

WHEN: Check our Important Dates for fee payment deadlines.
HOW: In order to register your fees must be paid by the deadline in full or you must pay a minimum deposit of $175 ($3000 if you are an international student) of which $75 will be used as a deferral fee.

If you choose to pay the minimum deposit, you agree to pay the balance of your fees by the following dates:
FALL fees by September 30
WINTER fees by January 30th
SUMMER fees by May 30th

Please note that if you defer your fees and the balance is not paid by the above deadlines, a $100 late charge will be added to your account.  Please note that we do not accept credit card payments. Our preferred method of payment is through the bank.

Payment Methods

You may pay your fees through your financial institution. This includes telephone and online banking or in person at your branch. Please note that the Payee is “Georgian College TUITION” and your account number is your 9 digit student number. Bank payments will be processed within 3 business days so please pay prior to the deadline.

Postdated and personal cheques are not accepted. Georgian does not accept credit card payments for full time.

Sponsored Students:

Students who are sponsored by a government agency, WSIB, employer or some other organization that is providing fees directly to Georgian must provide a supporting letter prior to the fees due date. The letter must verify such sponsorship and provide an explanation as to how and when fees will be paid to Georgian, the amount sponsored and for what duration.  Your records will be updated to allow you to register into courses.

If you are a Second career or OSAP student, you must either pay your fees in full or pay a tuition deposit in order to register into your courses.

What happens if I don’t pay my fees by the deadline?

If your payment is not received by the deadline, your seat may be given to another student on the waiting list.  You will also be required to pay a non-refundable late fee of $65 provided there are places still available in your program. Georgian reserves the right to refuse payments made after the deadline if the program has filled.

Withdrawals

Only students who have paid their fees / deposit will be allowed to register online. In order to receive a refund of any fees or to adjust outstanding fee assessments if tuition and related fees were deferred, students must withdraw in writing by the tenth day of classes in each term.
Check our Important Dates for withdrawal deadlines
You are NOT officially withdrawn if you simply do not show up for class or if you verbally notify your teacher, registration staff, counsellors or any College staff. Please refer to the faq entitled, “What if I Change My Mind About Attending? “
