After graduating from Georgian College’s Electronics Engineering Technology program in 1982, Greg Davey was immediately hired by Bell Canada. He designed Bell’s National Video network that today carries the majority of video traffic in Canada. An expert in connectivity, Greg led the Bell technology team as the Host Broadcaster for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Over 3.5 billion people worldwide were able to tune in Olympic coverage 24/7 over 17 days with not one missed second. The Vancouver Winter Olympics broadcast was 28 per cent bigger for bandwidth connectivity than Beijing, making it the biggest broadcast event in history.
