Through the financial support of the Ontario Sewer and Watermain Construction Association, the SCHCA donated $41,000 in April 2008 to Georgian, benefiting the College’s awards and scholarship program. The award has been set up as an endowment, and the amount has been matched by the Ontario Trust for Student Success, bringing the value to $160,000.
There will be two $3,000.00 scholarships available annually to Georgian engineering technology students starting in 2008.
“A generous donation like this will benefit a countless number of dedicated technology students for generations to come,” said Bob Empate Dean, Engineering Technology. “Together with key industry partners such as the Simcoe County Heavy Construction Association, we are doing our best to ensure our students receive the highest quality education possible.
