Roseneath, PE – Inclement weather has derailed the Georgian Grizzlies’ plans of staging a comeback on day 2 of the 2011 PING Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Golf Championships.
The tournament has been shortened to 36 holes, after today’s round was cancelled due to heavy rain falling on the Brudenell River Golf Course. The final round will take place on Friday.
The Georgian women’s team is in 4th place, 11 strokes off the lead, but only 2 strokes behind 3rd position. Nicole Belcourt is tied for 5th place in in the individual competition.
The men are tied for 9th place. Keegan Tyers is the top Georgian male tied for 25th spot.
