Kingston, ONT. – In their final regular season game of the year, the Georgian Grizzlies men’s rugby team lost 25-7 to the St. Lawrence Vikings in hurricane-like conditions.
The Vikings took full advantage of the wind at their backs in the first half, jumping out to a 15-0 lead at half-time.
A try by Georgian’s Austin St. Amant was converted by Perry Coldrick to close the gap, but St. Lawrence was too tough on their own field and put the game away with a late score.
The Grizzlies finish the strike-shortened season at 1-3 and will host the Fleming Auks in a qualifying playoff game on Saturday, October 29th.
