Peterborough, ON – The Georgian Grizzlies men’s basketball team split their games at the Fleming Invitational this weekend.
On Friday night, Georgian beat Nouvelles Frontieres from Quebec 80-54. The Grizzlies led 38-32 at the half and held their opponents to 22 points in the second half. Ivan Ivic led Georgian with 16 points and Ben Dance added 14.
Against the Rochester College Warriors from New York on Saturday, the Grizzlies battled hard, but fell 85-64. Mark Brown scored 23 points for Georgian, going 5/7 from the three-point line. Dance and Nolan Knill each scored 10 points each.
The Grizzlies have now concluded their pre-season schedule and will start league play on the road next weekend against St. Lawrence and Loyalist.
