Kingston, ON – The Georgian College men’s and women’s cross country teams participated in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Championships (OCAA) at Fort Henry on Saturday.

The men finished in 8th position, their best finish at the provincial championships in several years. Brandon Whetham and Jay Harris were the first two Grizzlies to cross the finish line, finishing in 34th and 36th position respectively. Also scoring for the Grizzlies were Shawn Davidson (40th) and Chris Tomlinson (45th).

Tina Drinkwalter finished in 15th position to lead the Grizzlies to a 9th place finish in the women’s team competition. Jessica Shaw (29th), Carolyn Schaerer (35th) and Stephanie Moreau (67th) rounded out Georgian’s top four runners on the day.

Fanshawe College won the men’s competition, while Humber took home the women’s title.
