Grizzlies Hold Steady on Day 2

CORNWALL, Ont. – The Georgian women’s golf team holds down 2nd place after two rounds of the 54-hole Ontario Colleges Athletic Association championships being held at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club.

Jasmine Paton shot 82 to move into 3rd place overall, while teammate Nicole Belcourt dropped to 4thspot after shooting 95. The Grizzlies have a two-day total of 346, twenty strokes behind 1st place Durham.

The men shot 294 as team today to hold onto 3rd place. The Grizzlies’ two-day total of 596 is only six strokes behind 2nd place Durham, as Humber continues to lead way with a team total of 575.

Eric Adamo shot an even par 72 to move up 8th place, while Paul Ngimat had 73 and is currently tied for 14th with three other Grizzlies, Frank Giacomelli, Nolan Knill and Keegan Tyers. All four have two-day totals of 150.

The final day of competition tees off tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.
