Grizzlies Men’s Golf Team in 3rd Place

WELLAND, Ontario – The Georgian Grizzlies men’s golf team finished in 3rd place at the Niagara Invitational held yesterday at the Loch Ness Links golf course.

The Grizzlies finished with a team total of 297, five strokes behind the host team, the Niagara Knights, who took home the title with a total of 292. Humber took 2nd place with a team total of 294.

Senior Keegan Tyers shot 72 to finish in a five-way tie for 3rd, while rookie Frank Giacomelli was one stroke back with a 73. Eric Adamo just missed a top ten finish, shooting 75.

On the women’s side, Jasmine Paton fired an 86 to place 3rd in the individual competition.

The Grizzlies will participate in the OCAA golf championships next week at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club from October 3rd to 5th.
