Barrie, ON – The Georgian Grizzlies managed a split against the Centennial Colts in their Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) basketball doubleheader this afternoon.

The Grizzlies, who led 30-22 at the half, held the Colts to only one field goal in the third quarter, and cruised home to their second win of the year, 58-42. Megan Robertson led Georgian with 22 points, while Danielle Horvat had her second straight double-double, with 21 points and 18 rebounds.

Kaitlyn William and Kedeja Hughes led the Colts with 11 points apiece.

In the men’s game, Centennial’s Tristan Stern proved too tough to stop, scoring 39 points and grabbing 17 rebounds, in leading his team to the 91-87 victory. Georgian led 85-82, but a pair of three-pointers by Centennial keyed the come-from-behind victory.
