Knights Slay Grizzlies

Barrie, ON – The Fleming Knights knocked down 10 three-pointers en route to a 64-53 win over the Georgian Grizzlies in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) women’s basketball action this afternoon.

Kelly Killoran had a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Knights, who led 33-26 at the half. Georgian cut the deficit to 50-49 early in the 4th quarter, but Fleming finished the game on a 14-4 run to take home the victory.

Alisha Costain with 15 points and Katelynn Langer with 11 were the other Knights in double figures. For Georgian, Danielle Horvat scored 12 points to go along with 15 rebounds.  Megan Robertson added 11 points and Sydney Bakker scored 10.

Fleming improves to 3-4, while the Grizzlies fall to 2-5 with one game remaining in the first semester against Seneca on Wednesday night.
