The Barrie Campus of Georgian College has large and small venues for meetings and events any time of the year. Choose from a variety of spaces, including boardrooms, AV-equipped classrooms, lecture halls that seat up to 700 people, and a 20,000-square-foot event space ideal for gala dinners and trade shows. The Sadlon Centre for Health, Wellness and Sciences features six health clinics, including a spa, and technologically enhanced classrooms with ergonomic tables and chairs, clean lines and an abundance of natural light. Georgian’s Athletic Centre has hosted national and provincial sports events and associations and is equipped with a 20,000-square-foot gym, indoor running track and 10,000-square-foot fitness centre. The college’s summer accommodation facilities, full-service catering, dedicated training classrooms and lecture halls have everything you need for a successful training camp or conference.

Residence & Conference Centre – Barrie offers affordable two bedroom hotel-style accommodations. Amenities include:
- Comfortable, non-smoking, air-conditioned suites with three-piece bath and kitchenette
- Bedrooms feature extra-long double bed, satellite TV and clock radio

The front desk is open 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week, May through August. Our summer accommodation offers affordable rates to groups and individuals during the summer. Georgian College Barrie Campus Student Residence is managed and operated by Campus Living Centres. Between the months of May and August, the residence provides summer guest accommodations under the Residence & Conference Centre banner.
Check-in – 3 p.m.
Check-out – 11 a.m.
All eight floors of the summer accommodations have a large lounge area with four couches and a TV. This area will be a gathering area for the floor’s guests. They may also be used as a breakout room for conferences and in-house groups. To arrange the use of the lounge, please contact the front desk.
Each suite contains: Kitchenette with full-size refrigerator microwave/convection oven, cupboard and counter space with sink table and chairs. NOTE: Two stoves with ovens available in another cooking area on first floor (open to all guests).
Summer accommodations – self-serve laundry facilities Coin-operated laundry facilities are available on the first floor near the lounge. Regular washers and dryers cost $1.50 per load, front-loading washers are $1.50 per load.
Complimentary copies of the Barrie Examiner are available at the front desk.
A multi-purpose sports court and two sand volleyball courts are behind the residence. Volleyballs and basketballs are available at the front desk for guests to sign out.
Georgian College promotes a healthy environment. Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas. There is a no-smoking policy in all guest rooms. A refurbishing charge of $250 will be applied for any infractions of this policy.
Georgian Summer Suites is a pet-free property. Refurbishing fees will apply for any infractions of this policy.

Internet access and minimum requirements
Internet access is available throughout the residence in each bedroom and meeting room. The campus has wireless access.
The library at the Barrie Campus is located a short walk from the main theatre. The library offers computers, small break-out rooms, a comfortable lounge complete with fireplace where you can relax and catch up on your reading. Visit the library site for hours of operation. Grenville Copy Store Fast and convenient full-or self-service copying is offered on campus. Located on the lower level of E Building (Barrie Campus).

Georgian College has a selection of lecture halls to be used for presentations, speakers and conferences. Alumni Hall and the Rowntree Theatre are fully A/V equipped. If you’re looking for a place to host an intimate gathering, a formal sit-down dinner, outdoor barbecue or something truly unique, you’ll find it at the Georgian Dining Room (GDR). The GDR is is a 150-seat licensed dining room open to the public for lunch several days a week. It operates on select evenings as a fine dining restaurant offering delectable meals in elegant surroundings.
The Last Class (TLC) is dedicated to providing the most enjoyable experience possible for all your catering needs. The licensed bar and dining room delivers both quality food and service. The TLC can host up to 400 people in a seated environment or up to 700 people (cocktail reception). There are many other venues on campus that cater to between five and 1,500 guests. Chartwells Marketplace provides students and staff with fresh and healthy living menu choices, nutritional information and other helpful lifestyle information.
