During lunch service, Culinary students prepare gourmet meals and Hotel and Resort students provide excellent service. The Georgian Dining Room offers elegant cuisine without the expensive price.

The Bun on the Run is a live learning lab. Our Hospitality students prepare and serve the meals. Our culinary students produce the fresh and frozen packaged items for you to take home and enjoy! Thank you for supporting our programs!

Amanda Sproule of Barrie Minor Hockey Association (Atom A) shared her feelings about the fundraiser that happened on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011:
“I would like to thank you for your help with our team’s fundraising dinner/dance. We received numerous compliments for the food and facilities. Everything went off without a hitch. The staff were great and helpful and quick to respond to all our needs. The food was amazing and no guest left hungry! We were able to raise $6,800. It was a great success.”
Students will be challenged to create menus that reflect contemporary concepts of locality, regionality, sustainability, and nutritional balance. Students will prepare, cook and serve foods in the dynamic environment of a full service food operation.
All menus have been prepared and designed by the students as the culmination of their education here in Georgian’s Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation programs.
Regional cuisine theme dinners include:
- Hors d’oeuvres reception beginning at 6 p.m., dinner seating at 6:30 p.m.
- Four course dinner
- Ticket price – $35 per person, plus tax

We are pleased to invite you to the Annual High School Hospitality Competition!
This year’s event takes place Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
This event is geared toward students enrolled in high schools that offer culinary/hospitality courses. Our goal is to introduce students to competitive hospitality competitions and enlighten them on the many career paths our industry has to offer.
The competition has been well received by industry and all agree that students and aspiring hospitality workers benefit from being part of this important event.
Awards include tuition scholarships for Georgian’s Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation programs. All students receive certificates of participation, winners receive medals.
There are three competition categories:
The competition is structured for teams of two. Teams compete at Georgian on the day of the event.
The 2017 registration fee is $45 per team. When submitting your registration, please also complete and return the Release of Information consent form.
