Fine dining for lunch and dinner
Take some time off from your usual routine and enjoy a dining experience in the Georgian Dining Room. The Georgian Dining Room is known for its gourmet dining and great service. We’re open for lunch and special themed dinners throughout the year. You can expect a memorable dining experience whether you’re joining us for lunch, looking to host a dinner event or joining us for one of our dinner events.
The Georgian Dining Room is a state-of-the-art facility where students practise and perfect their food preparation and food service skills. Treat your palate to mouthwatering flavours and textures while enjoying quality service. Open to the public for lunch at noon beginning Feb. 3, 2016, closed from Feb. 29 – Mar. 4 for Study Week.

Jette Cosburn of Bear Creek Secondary School raised $3,800 in just one night. Here’s what she had to say: “We had a lovely time and it was a pleasure dealing with all of the staff!” Scott Garrett of the Oro Minor Hockey League raised $2,058.75 in just one night. Here’s what he had to say about their successful evening: “Thank you to you and your staff for helping us out and providing an excellent evening. I am sure we would like to book it again for next year. I have marked my calendar for September to arrange a date in April for next year. Thank you again, great job.” Leni Johnston of the Barriecudas wrote a thank you letter to staff of Georgian Dining Room for contributing to the successful fundraising gala. Amanda Sproule of Barrie Minor Hockey Association (Atom A) shared her feelings about the fundraiser that happened on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011: “I would like to thank you for your help with our team’s fundraising dinner/dance. We received numerous compliments for the food and facilities. Everything went off without a hitch. The staff were great and helpful and quick to respond to all our needs. The food was amazing and no guest left hungry! We were able to raise $6,800. It was a great success.”

There are still a few dates available in November and December. We would be happy to customize your festive event. Our Executive Chef is happy to customize a menu to meet your specific needs. Off-site catering menus are available upon request.
Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation at Georgian College is pleased to host the 13th Annual High School Hospitality Competition.
This year we are pleased to have three competition categories: cooking, baking and restaurant service. This event is aimed toward students enrolled in high schools that offer culinary/hospitality courses. The goal of the event is to introduce students to competitive hospitality competitions and enlighten them on the many career paths our industry has to offer. The date for this day-long event is Wednesday, April 27.
Awards will include tuition scholarships for Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation programs. All students will receive certificates of participation and medals will be awarded.
The registration fee is $40 per team and is structured for teams of two. Teams will compete at Georgian on the day of the event. This annual competition has been well received by industry and all agree that students and aspiring hospitality workers would benefit from being part of this important event.
