Hairstyling Apprenticeship

Georgian delivers the provincial curriculum which includes a blend of theory and hands-on experience.

As part of your training with Georgian, you will receive hands-on experience working on clients in our on-campus salon.

go to school one day (six hours) per week (allows you to work while going to school)
Georgian College Certificate upon completion of the Advanced program

find an employer who is willing to sponsor you as an apprentice.
you and your employer register with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU)
your apprenticeship will be 3,500 hours which includes in-school training (480 hours) and on-the-job training (3020 hours)
classroom fee is $400 per in-school level (two levels) plus $300 for textbooks, $300 for mannequins and a full tool kit is required (around $800)

Eligibility is determined by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU), Apprenticeship and Client Services.
