<p>Interest in yoga continues to grow, along with the demand for qualified instructors. This comprehensive program has been preparing potential instructors for certification through the <strong><a title="Ontario Yoga Association" href="http://www.ontarioyogaassociation.ca/">Federation of Ontario Yoga Teachers</a> </strong>and subsequently, to plan and instruct courses in Hatha Yoga for various groups.<span id="more-242"></span></p>
<p>The program is scheduled in modules over a two-year time frame, Friday evenings and Saturdays, once a month from September to June. Friday evening sessions encompass intensive study of asanas (postures) and are reserved for those completing the teacher training program. Most Saturday sessions are open to the public and may be taken individually for personal interest.</p>

<p class="note">You <strong>must</strong> register for all Can-Fit-Pro courses through Georgian College. For courses in Barrie, please call (705)722-1577 to register. For Owen Sound courses, please call the Office of the Registrar (705) 722-1511. You cannot register through Can-Fit-Pro. Georgian&#8217;s fees are slightly different due to mandatory incidental fees implemented by the College.</p>
<p>For your convenience, course textbooks are available for purchase from the Athletic Service Counter in the Student Life Centre (Building J) at the Barrie Campus.</p>
<p>Exam fees are extra and are payable to the instructor during the course. Once certified, there is also a Can-Fit-Pro annual membership fee.</p>
