Pleasure Craft Operator Card

Did you know that there are over 6000 boating-related incidents every year? Pleasure craft operators are required to have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card.

Fall Prevention and Confined Spaces Safety

Protect yourself in the workplace.

Learn how to identify hazards and prevent accidents on the job. Safe use of equipment, knowledge of regulations and safe practices for trades workers are reviewed.

Do you work in areas that may be poorly ventilated, difficult to access and where the air quality may be poor or unknown? Gain the knowledge required to recognize the different classes of confined spaces by degree of hazard, and follow appropriate procedures for confined spaces entry.

Welding

Welding is widely used by metalworkers in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of parts and structures. The job market for skilled welders is booming. With many of the current welders due to retire, the demand for new skilled welders is exploding. Welding is a trade that offers many opportunities – working in oil and gas fields, refineries, factories, small businesses, arts and crafts, or operating your own welding business. Welding employment opportunities are diverse and skilled welders can choose from a variety of openings both nationally and internationally.

Georgian offers a variety of welding courses that cover such topics as:

  • MIG welding
  • Ornamental welding
  • ARC welding

Introductory courses are also available. Courses include both theory and hands-on instruction.

Ready to test for your Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) tickets? Contact us to help you prepare for the test and take the test at our certified centres.
