Canadian Native Art and Culture (GNED 2030)

This course examines contemporary Canadian Native Art through a consideration of the cultures which form the basis of the art. The cultures and art of the Inuit, Northwest Coast, Plains and Eastern Woodlands are examined. Students research and study concerns surrounding and expressed in Native Art from several points of view: aesthetic, historical, social, cultural, political and personal.
