Hours per week: 40 hours per week

Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Manager of Resource Development the incumbent will focus on generating revenue through the implementation of a fundraising plan. Specific duties will include:
.Engaging in all aspects of fundraising including prospect research, cultivation, stewardship and face to face solicitation of alumni using moves management;
.Maintaining an assigned list of alumni donors and prospects for the purpose of securing financial support;
.Developing strategies to engage numerous daily / monthly contacts including donor visits and proposals;
.Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle including:
.Initiating dialogue with prospective donors;
.Formulating individual strategies for all prospects including planned giving options when appropriate;
.Making solicitations when appropriate;
.Providing appropriate donor recognition and stewardship;
.Documenting results;
.Assisting with recruiting and providing guidance to volunteers to assist in strategic cultivation and solicitation activities.
.Communicating with Alumni regarding the benefits and services offered by the association, opportunities to stay engaged with the growth and progress of the College;
.Assisting with editorial content of the Loop e-newsletter and the Georgian View Magazine;
.Participating in the planning and organizing special events such as the annual alumni weekend, workplace connections and community events for the purpose of engaging with alumni to establish opportunities for alumni gifts;
.Participating in College and Community events as required;
.Working in collaboration with the Donor Relations Coordinator ensuring the alumni database is current and utilized for communication opportunities;
.Assisting with the design / production of reports for the alumni Association, Board of Director;
.Other duties as required.
Qualifications:

.A three-year post-secondary diploma / degree in Communications, Marketing, or Fundraising.
.Minimum of 3 years experience in a related field directly related to generating revenue.
.Demonstrated revenue results in fundraising.
.Experience in stewardship and face to face solicitation.
.Experience planning and organizing special events.
.Experience working in an environment that required strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines.
.Experience working with and providing guidance to volunteers.
.Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), internet and Outlook.
.Experience working with databases and working knowledge of fundraising software preferably Raisers’ Edge.
.Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and oral in order to communicate effectively with the public and to assist with editorial content as required.
.Ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
