Complement your professional experience with newly acquired skills and knowledge you can gain on a part-time basis. At Georgian College, you can enjoy on-line courses that offer the flexibility you need when juggling a job and other life commitments.
The Fundraising & Resource Development program allows students to access course materials and participate in on-line discussion at any time, from anywhere there is a computer and Internet access. Now gaining international recognition, some of our students have even participated while helping others in countries as far away as Thailand and Haiti! Whether you want to increase your skills in one or two areas or work toward your Graduate Certificate, this comprehensive program will help you further your professional aspirations.
Program Admission Requirements: Applicants to the Fundraising & Resource Development Program must hold a college diploma or university degree, or equivalent. Strong communications skills are required. and proficiency in word processing and computer skills are recommended. Applicants lacking a college diploma, university degree, or equivalent may be considered based on CFRE designation (Certified Fund Raising Executive) OR a combination of post-secondary education and related work experience (minimum three years full-time paid experience working in a non-profit environment) and demonstrated achievement of post-secondary level competencies.

Registration for part-time courses: Complete the registration and additional information form (with accompanying proof of admission criteria if necessary) and submit to Georgian College, Orillia Campus, at least one week before the course start date to ensure timely delivery of course materials.

Course Costs: $309.12 (course fees Fall 2010) each course (Canadian Residents only**)
plus the cost of textbooks. Fees subject to change.

Georgian College is an approved provider for CFRE Continuing Education. Full participation in any of the courses listed above is applicable for 42 points (each course) in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification. Program completion requirements: To receive the Ontario College Graduate Certificate, you must complete the academic requirements of the program (12 courses, including 11 mandatory courses and 1 optional course) and complete either the Internship Placement (which is considered to be a full academic semester) or achieve credit for some courses and/or the internship through a Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR) process.
