Phase Two launches in June 2011
Help Georgian complete its Power of Education fundraising campaign!
Pledge before July 29, 2011 and be recognized for your contribution on the donor wall before the grand openings of Georgian’s two newest facilities.
As you may have heard, Georgian is close to reaching its goal for its largest fundraising campaign in its 44-year history. We hope you will consider pledging to be part of that success through Phase Two of the Georgian Employee Challenge.
Phase One of the employee challenge launched a few years ago and raised more than $1 million from staff, students (SAC), retirees, Board of Governors’ members and alumni! More than 160 staff participated by committing to a bi-weekly payroll deduction of $5 to $10 for five years or making a one-time contribution, knowing that every little bit will help Georgian reach its goal to make our campuses better learning environments for our students.
Five years ago Georgian set out to raise $25 million through the Power of Education campaign. Record enrolment growth and industries in need of more skilled workers have resulted in an amazing opportunity for Georgian to develop in key areas including health and wellness, engineering technology, satellite campuses and the University Partnership Centre.
Funding these expansions requires the support of many, and to date, we have had the good fortune to have 1,300 donors choose Georgian as their charity of choice. It is much easier to ask for others to contribute to our success when we have given ourselves. This is why the Georgian Employee Challenge is key to the overall campaign.
We are launching Phase Two of the Georgian Employee Challenge in hopes that it will be the close-knit Georgian family who helps to complete our $25-million fundraising campaign.
There are many exciting plans for growth at Georgian. Click the photo below to learn more about each project.

In closing
We believe an investment into Georgian is an investment into our own careers. As Georgian grows, so will all of our job opportunities, and the benefits that come with working in leading-edge facilities. We hope you will consider these facts as you make a decision about your support.
Thank you for your consideration, and please don’t hesitate to contact us at any time if you have any questions about how to give to Georgian’s growth.
