Three paid co-op work terms provide students with valuable work experience, allowing them to explore a variety of career options. Students will have the opportunity to work in the turf department, pro shop / back shop, food and beverage, and clubhouse operations. Co-op placements start at the end of the winter semester, mid April, and run until the beginning of the fall semester, early September.
The Brand New 2 Year Diploma
This new program will launch in Fall 2010 and will replace Georgian’s 3 year PGM diploma which has been in existence since 1996. Following a review of the career paths of our nearly 300 graduates we determined that this 2 year Golf Facility Operations Diploma program was the most appropriate way to proceed. This NEW program takes into account the current industry trends and best practices of competing golf educational programs offered throughout North America. As a result our graduates will be prepared for the current competitive employment environment. The Golf Facility Operations program blends theoretical concepts taught in the classroom with practical learning opportunities gained through exposure to various golf facilities in Canada and abroad.
A paid co-op work term provides students with valuable work experience, allowing them to explore a variety of career options.
