Orillia Campus Job Connect client is a double winner
Sara-Marie Way (pictured) is a winner in more ways than one. Not only did she become a client of the Orillia Job Connect program, but she’s also the winner of a draw for a new bicycle.
The draw was held earlier this month among new clients of the Job Connect program, delivered in the Orillia area through Georgian.
Job Connect is an Employment Ontario-funded program that assists individuals in securing employment. The program targets people who are at least 16 years of age who are not in school or currently working.
Job Connect services include assistance with resumés, cover letters, interview information, apprenticeship, career counselling, as well as workshops in such certifications as Service Excellence, Smart Serve, National Food Safety Training, and WHMIS.
Services available to employers include free job postings, collection of resumés, assistance with interview preparation and arrangements, labour market and apprenticeship information and access to WHMIS and safety training.
Based on employer eligibility, additional services can include training incentives, screened applicants and job placement monitoring.
