Sally Armstrong (pictured) human rights activist, documentary filmmaker and award-winning author, was the first speaker of the season in the University Partnership Centre speaker series on Nov. 10 in the Georgian Theatre, Barrie Campus.

Armstrong was editor-in-chief of Homemaker’s magazine from 1988 to 1999. She is currently editor-at-large of Chatelaine magazine and a contributing editor at Maclean’s magazine.
