Celebrate English as a Second Language Day Nov. 9 by learning more about international cultures. You’re encouraged to join English for Academic Purposes students from around the world in the Library Commons at the Barrie Campus to learn everyday phrases in such languages as Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Spanish and Russian.
You can also:
- have your name spelled out in characters of another language
- learn how to make origami
- purchase jewellery made with fair-trade beads from Big Village
- attend a jewellery-making workshop at 2 p.m. (Interested in the workshop? Call Candice at ext. 1486.)
Donations to the Canadian Red Cross will be accepted. Don’t miss this unique all-day event!
