Vancouver-based novelist Timothy Taylor will host a free master class in writing at the Barrie Campus on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The event, part of the renowned International Festival of Authors, is open to staff, students and the general public. Take a seat in the Georgian College Theatre at 1 p.m. and enjoy this rare opportunity to hear an accomplished author share the secrets of his craft.

Taylor’s first novel, Stanley Park, published in 2001, was an immediate bestseller and a critical success. He has since published a prize-winning collection of short fiction, Silent Cruise, and a second bestselling novel, Story House. His most recent work is The Blue Light Project.

He is the winner of the Journey Prize and has been a finalist or runner-up for six other major national fiction prizes in Canada, including the prestigious Scotiabank Giller Prize and CBC Radio’s annual Canada Reads competition.
