Local high school students hosting fundraiser for Haiti April 16

A group of students from Eastview Secondary School is hosting a fundraiser to raise money for victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti.

The event, at St. Mary’s Church in Barrie on Friday, April 16, will feature music, plays and performance art by local youths.

Cost is $15. Tickets are on sale at Eastview Secondary School. They can also be reserved by e-mailing frank.john.li1994@gmail.com.

“This event will give teens and young adults a chance to reach out and help those in need,” said event organizer Frank John Li. “At the same time, the fundraiser will showcase some of the talents of our local youths and give them a chance to shine.”
