Andrew Maconachie, a current Georgian College student, will appear on the CBC’s Dragon’s Den on Friday, Nov. 13, in an effort to win a $100,000 franchise prize package.

Maconachie qualified for the contest by submitting a five-minute video on how he would promote a franchise on a limited budget.

The hosts of the Dragon’s Den will decide the winner at a live taping at the CBC broadcast centre in Toronto Nov. 13. The event is free and is open to the public.

The national youth entrepreneurship initiative, aimed at youths 18 to 34 years of age, is sponsored by the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, National Post, The Keg and the Delta Chelsea.
