Culinary enthusiasts and wine connoisseurs in the region can once again take part in a unique dining and wine tasting experience at Georgian’s 2010 Chef and Wine Series at the Barrie Campus.

The series, now in its sixth year, starts Feb. 19 and runs once a month until June.

Celebrating the talents of regional chefs and introducing participants to various wines from around the world, it’s the perfect blend of gourmet dining and wine tasting in a fun, interactive atmosphere.

As well as enjoying a delicious meal, guests will have the opportunity to observe, learn new cooking techniques, ask questions and take home recipes.

The schedule of featured chefs for the series is:

  • Friday, Feb. 19: Marco Ormonde, Chef/Owner, The North Restaurant, Barrie
  • Friday, March 26: Frank Selg, Chef, Casino Rama
  • Friday, April 23: David Scofield, Chef, Christie’s Mill Inn and Spa, Port Severn
  • Friday, May 28: TBA
  • Friday, June 18: Randy Feltis, Chef, Oscar’s Restaurant, Barrie

Cocktails are served at 7 p.m. in the Georgian Dining Room (room E100, Hospitality and Tourism building), with dinner following at 8 p.m. Tickets are $89.95 per person, plus applicable taxes.
