Last March, Georgian phased out the Scantron system and replaced it with Remark Office OMR. As a result, there have been changes to the answer key sheets and the process to grade the answer key sheets.

ANSWER KEY SHEETS

• You can no longer use the Scantron answer key sheets
• Answers MUST be keyed into the correct Remark form

Remark forms can be ordered from Inplex (recommended) or downloaded to Microsoft Word and printed from your Xerox printer. The form can be found at http://staff.georgianc.on.ca.

If you choose to print Remark forms from a Xerox printer, it is recommended you use 24-pound paper for best scanning results. Remark forms can also be customized (recommended for advanced users only).

The process to grade the answer sheets has changed. Instructions are available in the Remark training booklet at http://staff.georgianc.on.ca under “REMARK info.”

You may notice that grade reports have also changed. Note that the Remark reports are more extensive than Scantron reports.

Remark stations are located in the Midland Campus library, the Muskoka Campus in room 130, the Orangeville Campus in room 210, and at the Orillia Campus in room C214.

REMARK TRAINING AVAILABLE

The Centre for Teaching and Learning is offering orientation sessions at campuses that have a Remark station. Please check with your academic program assistant for details on session availability.
