CTL accepting nominations for annual Teaching Excellence Awards
Georgian will celebrate excellence in teaching and learning by presenting Teaching Excellence Awards at the Centre for Teaching and Learning Focus on Teaching conference May 5.
The awards recognize teachers who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching as well as staff members who support teachers and teaching excellence.
Award recipients are those who have contributed to the broader Georgian teaching and learning community.
This commitment to excellence is noted in one or more of the following categories:
- Innovative Teaching Strategies
- Education Technology
- Active Learning
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Curriculum Innovation
All Georgian professors, librarians and counsellors are eligible for the awards. Awards have also been presented to support staff in the past.
SUBMISSIONS
Submission requirements for award nominations include a brief description of the teacher’s work history at the College and his or her contributions to teaching and learning.
The description could include pictures and/or documents related to the practice.
Up to three letters of support may accompany a nomination. The nominator must be identified. Note: Self-nominations are not accepted.

Nominations will be accepted up to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 2.
