Georgian and Universtiy Partnership Centre students may be interested in entering an essay contest.

The Community College Baccalaureate Association (CCBA) is accepting submissions for the 8th Annual Student Essay Contest. The essay topic for 2011 is, “Why obtaining a four-year degree on my community college campus would be (or currently is) important to me.”

All students enrolled in a community college are eligible. The winning student will receive $1,500, and the winner’s college will receive a $500 award.

Essays may be 400 to 500 words and the deadline to enter is Jan. 15, 2011.
