Georgian’s Paramedic students are raising funds for Global Medic, an organization helping the relief effort in Haiti.

Members of Global Medic will be in front of the library at the Barrie Campus on Thursday, Feb. 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to talk about their role in Haiti and how the funds raised will help.

Cash donations can be dropped off at the front desk of the Health Sciences office (room E203) before Thursday, or at the Global Medic booth on Thursday. Tax receipts will be issued for donations more than $10.

A karaoke night is also being planned for The Last Class on Friday, Feb. 19. Tickets are $5 and will go on sale beginning next week – details to follow.
