The Georgian College Athletic and Fitness Centre, Barrie Campus, is holding its inaugural Georgian’s Biggest Loser competition. The competition, based on TV’s Biggest Loser, starts May 17 and lasts for six weeks. The final weigh-in is June 25.

The enrolment fee is $100 for a team of two people. The cost includes two personal training sessions per week, an initial measurement and weigh-in session, and weekly weigh-in sessions throughout the six-week period.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be current members of the Georgian College Athletic and Fitness Centre. They must also fulfill the requirements of a PAR-Q and general health history questionnaire and have a body mass index (BMI) greater than 25 or a hip/waist ratio of less than 1.0.

Each team will be required to attend two small group training sessions a week and work out a minimum of two days a week with their partner.

The deadline to apply is May 11 atm 5 p.m. Applications can be picked-up and dropped-off to Ruth Vesterback in the Georgian College Fitness and Athletics Centre between May 3 and 11.
