The Georgian Grizzlies men’s golf team recently picked up a bronze medal at the OCAA Provincial Golf Championships at the Raven Golf Club at Lora Bay, near Thornbury.
Georgian fielded a team total of 296 on the final day to jump from fifth spot to third place and take home the bronze medal. Keegan Tyers of Newmarket placed fifth in the individual competition with a three-day total of 224.
The team now moves on to compete at the CCAA National Championships from Oct. 13 to 15 in Kamloops, British Columbia.
On the women’s side, Georgian’s Jasmine Paton of Ottawa tied for third place and grabbed a bronze medal for her efforts with her three-day total of 261.
