Georgian’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations (ODAR) welcomes Jeannine Clayton and Joanne Valley to their team.

JEANNINE CLAYTON

JeannineJeannine has been hired as the Alumni Assistant, which is a new, part-time role. She was a recent fundraising intern in ODAR, is a graduate of Georgian’s Fundraising and Resource Development program, and holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of Buffalo.

Jeannine has a history of volunteer work with not-for-profit organizations such as the Simcoe County Association for the Physically Disabled, Dance for Life and YMCA of Fort Erie.

She’ll use her skills to help Georgian foster closer ties with its 50,000 alumni, assist the Alumni Board of Directors with its activities, and help co-ordinate alumni-related events and initiatives.

JOANNE VALLEY

JoanneJoanne will take over the role of Donor Relations Officer during Kristin Arbour’s maternity leave.

She’s no stranger to the role, or the department, as she began her employment at Georgian in 2001 in a similar position in ODAR.

Prior to working at Georgian, Joanne was employed at York University in the Development office, and was most recently an Academic Program Assistant in the School of Health Sciences and Early Childhood Education.

Joanne is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in arts through Laurentian at Georgian.

Joanne will use her knowledge of Development to maintain and enhance Georgian’s extensive donor database, and to continue to build on the success of the College’s donor relations initiatives.
