College support staff have voted in favour of the agreement negotiated by the Colleges’ Bargaining Team and OPSEU. The following release was issued by College Employer Council:

87% vote in favour

 TORONTO, October 4

In a province-wide vote, college support staff today ratified the tentative agreement negotiated between the Colleges’ Bargaining Team and Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), which represents college support staff.

Approximately 87% of votes were cast in favour of the agreement, according to unofficial results. The Ontario Ministry of Labour will confirm the vote results at which time the terms of the agreement will be released. “The ratification is great news, because it shows that employees clearly support the agreement,” said Gerry Barker, Chair of the Colleges’ Bargaining Team.
