Since you have been enrolled at Georgian, you may have heard or seen the letters “KPI”. KPI stands for “Key Performance Indicators” and, since 1998, is a program mandated by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) to measure the satisfaction of college students, graduates, and employers as well as each college’s graduation rate and graduate employment rate. Georgian College has consistently ranked among the very top colleges in the province for graduate employment, frequently holding the #1 position.
Over the next two weeks, Georgian will distribute the 2009/2010 KPI Student Satisfaction Survey to all college students, except those who are in their first semester, in all full-time, funded programs. The survey will be administered to students within one of their classes by an appointed group of student representatives. The survey is paper-based and asks students to rate their satisfaction with their academic and student services experiences at the college. All information is handled confidentially and students cannot be identified nor linked to their responses in any way. Collectively, the students’ voices tell Georgian what we should continue to do and where we need to improve so that Georgian can be even better!
We extend our deepest thanks to all students who participate in the survey, and to the student representatives who administer it.
