Business Studies Certificate of Achievement:
The Business Certificate of Achievement is targeted towards adult students who wish to learn about the fundamentals of today’s business world. Program completion requires six courses which are also credits toward the Georgian College General Business diploma program.

Admission Requirements:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma at the General Level, with grade 12 English and mathematics or mature student status. After completing this certificate program, or part of it, a student can apply to complete the Business diploma program with advanced standing. Applicants following the OSS curriculum must have an OSSD or equivalent. Applicants following the OSIS curriculum must also have a minimum of Grade 12 English and mathematics at the general level. Applicants following the OSS curriculum must have Grade 12 English (C) or (U) (ENG 4C, ENG 4U) and any Grade 12 college mathematics (MAP 4C or MCT 4C) or any Grade 12 university mathematics.
Business Studies Sales:
The Business Studies Sales Certificate is for an entry-level position in a variety of marketing settings including participation in the design of an organization’s marketing and business plans.

To graduate from this program, the passing weighted average is 60 percent. Additionally, a student must attain a minimum of 50 per cent in each course.
Certified Financial Planner
Georgian is pleased to offer the CFP program using the CCH Canadian Ltd. content and in co-operation with Advocis (financial membership association). This accredited curriculum qualifies candidates to sit for the CFP examination administered by the Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC). The CFP is an internationally-recognized designation.

Home Inspection (Carson Dunlop)
In partnership with Carson Dunlop and Associates and OntarioLearn, we now offer the Home Inspection Training program online. This program incorporates the Standards of Practice of ASHI/CAHPI (American Society of Home Inspectors/Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors). The Standards of Practice define a minimum and uniform standard for private, fee-paid home inspectors. The Carson Dunlop and Associates program fully complies with ASHI curriculum and Standards of Practice. This program also conforms to the Professional Home/Property Inspector Occupational Standards developed by the Canadian Home Inspectors and Building Officials Steering Committee for National Standards (CHIBO).

Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (ILCO)
The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario has been educating law clerks for over 25 years and Georgian College is pleased to offer the four required courses. Successful students will receive a certificate from the Institute for completion of all four courses.
The Associate Level Program consists of four courses: litigation, corporate, real estate and estates. The program is designed to enhance the education and skills of law clerks already in the profession, expand the knowledge of experienced legal secretaries and provide the basic academic foundation needed for people with legal experience planning a career as a Law Clerk. These courses are designed to prepare a student to write The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario’s Provincial Examinations.

Admission Requirements:
Recommended minimum is Grade 12. Students should have a good command of the English language and previous legal experience is beneficial, although not necessary. Students without previous legal experience must understand that it is their responsibility to self-educate themselves and they must not hinder the progress of the class as a whole.
Manufacturing Leadership Certificate Program
The Manufacturing Leadership Certificate Program (MLCP) has been developed through a training partnership of five Ontario Community Colleges and the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME). Oncology/Palliative Care Certificate of Achievement
The Oncology/Palliative Care program provides the Registered Nurse with the specialized knowledge and skills required to provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Content enables the Registered Nurse to provide care for the patient and family throughout the diagnosis and treatment of the illness and end-of-life. The program assists in preparation for the Canadian Nurses Association Oncology and Hospice Palliative Care certification.

Qualified Administrative Assistant Certificate
The Association of Administrative Assistant is a chartered, Canadian, non-profit, professional organization founded in 1951 with a three-fold purpose: To establish a national standard of qualifications for administrative assistants and senior office personnel; to reach this standard by providing advanced education; and to make management aware of the fully qualified administrative assistants’ value.
