BACN Business - Accounting (non co-op)
Financial security
Albert Einstein once said, "The hardest thing in the world to understand is income tax." - too bad he didn't get the chance to study accounting at Georgian. Students enrolled in this program give rave reviews about their faculty who excel at finding interesting and meaningful ways of explaining even the most complex accounting principles in a way that makes sense. They're so good at it that many employers now only hire Georgian grads to fill openings. If you maintain a high grade average, you can earn up to 6 credits towards your CGA certification.
What's Special
Students in the program are often snapped up after graduation by firms who are familiar with the quality of the program and are anxious to take on Georgian students. That's not surprising because many of the program's alumni are now in management and know what it means to be a Georgian graduate.
Careers
Career opportunities abound for grads in the program. Banks, financial institutions, government agencies, accounting firms and non-profit organizations are just some of the places that hire grads. If you'd like to continue your education, Georgian has signed a number of agreements with universities that accept the Georgian program as credit to shorten the time required for you to get a degree.
