What's Special

Thanks to Hollywood, most of us think of human-like machines when we think of robots. But in industry, a robot is a duplicate of the human arm, capable of completing repetitive tasks without taking coffee breaks! It is run by a computer, and people with the skills to program and maintain that robot are in demand. We'll teach you how at Georgian College, as you explore the field of automation in our industrial scale labs.

Careers

As a graduate from Electrical Engineering Technology you could become a key member on engineering teams in a wide variety of settings including all types of manufacturing, communications and utilities companies, and the generation and distribution of electricity. Your options are almost unlimited in any area involved in manufacturing using automation. As well, graduates can work as specialists in the generation and distribution of electricity, for companies like Hydro One or local municipal power departments.
