The Native Community and Social Development program is focused on the planning, development, evaluation and administration of social/health care services within the Native community. There is an emphasis on integrating cultural, social and health issues relevant to Native people in Canada with business and community development studies. This two year co-operative education diploma program will prepare you for entry-level administration and support staff positions within organizations such as community health centres, social service organizations, healing lodges and mental health centres.
What's Special
Graduates of the Community and Social Development Program will find employment in a wide range of health/social settings: in community health centres, social services organizations, group homes, healing lodges, mental health centres, alcohol and drug rehabilitation centres and other human services areas.
