Mr. Lucas is President of TATM Associates Inc., a CADD training and advisory services provider in Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Socio-Demographics and Urban Geography from the University of Toronto and an Architectural Technology Certificate from Ryerson and brings 20+ years of CADD experience to his teaching at Georgian. His courses concentrate on how CADD is used in the "work world" and include focus on accurate contract documentation, standardization, web-based collaboration, and virtual building information modeling.
Previous positions include: leader of the A/E/C Systems Development division of CAD MicroSolutions Inc, Chair of the Computer Assisted Drafting and Design program at the International Academy of Design & Technology and CADD Manager for a several architectural and interior design firms. In addition, he is an Active Member of the Project Committee of the United States National CADD Standard (USNCS). He has also been Director of Implementation for the ARIDO CADD standards revision initiative, Chair of the Interior Design Layering Task Force for the USNCS, and a contributor to the CAD Compass electronic newsletter. Mr. Lucas continues to speak at a number of ARIDO sanctioned seminars and CEU sessions as well as provides training services to ARIDO members and has written for Dimensions magazine.
