Online Modules

 

The Centre for Teaching and Learning is now offering selected workshops online.  The sessions below will count towards the Teaching Practice Credential.  The Teaching Practice Credential is a credential offered by the Centre for Teaching and Learning to recognize faculty involvement in professional development activities related to teaching practice.

Instructions

These online learning modules are available to all that would like to use the content. However, if you are a Georgian College employee and you would like to use this towards your Teaching Practice Credential please contact Amy Goruk at the Centre for Teaching and Learning by email – amy.goruk@georgiancollege.ca or by phone – 705 728-1968 ext 1075.

Once you contact the CTL you will be added to the CTL Online Modules Blackboard shell.

    • Upon successful completion of this unit of instruction, learners will be able to:
      1. Consider learners and learning needs as you plan instruction.
      2. Use principles of learning to inform instructional planning.
      3. Plan a lesson based on instructional frameworks.

    • Upon successful completion of this unit of instruction, learners will be able to:
      1. Identify various influences on approaches to assessment.
      2. Identify challenges and questions regarding assessment.
      3. Reflect on assessment practices using learning theories and principles.
      4. Apply learning design to assessment.
