Each semester, CTL issues a calendar which outlines current workshop session offerings. This calendar is also available on our CTL website. If you are interested in attending a session, please register yourself online at http://www.georgianc.on.ca/staff/ctl/pd-calendar/calendar
Should there be a session that you have a particular interest in attending, please ask a CTL member and we will do our best to offer it in subsequent calendars.
1:1 meetings or small group:
CTL faculty are available to meet with you, by appointment, for an individual consultation to assist you with various aspects of teaching and learning. Should a small group require a specialized session, CTL faculty will work with you to provide you with current resources specific to your needs.

Part Time Faculty Sessions:
During the Fall and Winter semesters, we offer a series of workshops specifically for Part Time (part-time, partial load, and sessional) Faculty. These sessions provide a great opportunity to learn more about Teaching at Georgian and allow for interaction and idea exchanges with fellow faculty. Attending these sessions contribute toward earning of a Teaching Practice Credential.
Teaching Practice Credential:
This credential is offered by CTL to recognize faculty involvement in professional development activities related to teaching practice. It is a locally recognized credential here at Georgian. This credential involves attending 10 qualifying sessions, followed by a reflection paper. See the CTL calendar for more information about this.
General Teaching Resources:
The Center for Teaching and Learning has several helpful resources available on its extensive website. This website offers links to the current Calendar offerings, teaching and learning resources, news bulletins of upcoming conferences. The General college website also offers links to CTL publications including Pedagoggles and Profiles of exemplary practice.
Faculty/Teaching Support:
The CTL has three instructional designers. They can support your efforts to build courses and various course components including content and assessments. Both designers have an excellent background in teaching and learning theory and can help you find ways to use Blackboard.
