Testing Centres provide services to students who require accommodations or need to write a missed or make-up test. Priority will be given to students requiring test accommodations.
Georgian’s Test Centres are located at the following campuses:
- Barrie – Room B121
- Midland – Library
- Orillia – Room A200
- Owen Sound – Room 607
Muskoka, Collingwood and Orangeville campuses do not have formal Testing Centres, but these campuses also provide testing services.
Students are responsible for entering information on the test request form accurately. Test Centre staff are not responsible for information that is incorrect resulting in tests not arriving at the Test Centre on time, rescheduling of tests and delaying the test request process.
Accessible Testing for Students with Disabilities
To be eligible for test accommodations, students must meet with a Disability Specialist at the start of each semester to obtain Letters of Accommodation. This letter needs to be shown to each faculty member prior to requesting to write a test in the Test Centre. If you have done this, you may continue with your request and complete the Accommodations Test Request Form
Missed or make-up testing
Students must obtain Faculty approval for missed or make-up tests prior to submitting a missed/make up test request form.
Seats are assigned on a first come, first served basis. If the requested date / time is not available, the student is responsible for following up with their faculty and resubmitting a new test request.
Once approval has been granted, please complete the Missed/Make Up Test Request Form.
Note: Missed/make-up tests or tests with accommodations must be written on the campus where you attend classes for the requested test. Students who request an alternative campus location, will have their request denied and will have to resubmit their request. Students who do not follow the Test Centre’s policies or book outside of the hours of operation for missed / make-up tests will have their request denied, and will be required to submit another test request. Remember, it is the student’s responsibility to check their Georgian e-mail account for the response from the Test Centre.
