Introducing Pride@Georgian
March 12, 2012

Georgian has a student-run club committed to promoting and creating a safe and inclusive environment for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual (LGBT) community. Pride@Georgian aims to create change through awareness and education by organizing various events, workshops and activities.

Pride@Georgian consists of a group of dedicated students who intend to actively challenge homophobia, biphobia, transphobia and heterosexism within the Georgian College community. The group and all its resources are available to students, staff and faculty. Anyone who is in support of the group is encouraged to get involved – you don’t have to be a member of the LGBT community to take interest!

Dale Boyle, President of Pride@Georgian, has given training seminars to Georgian Stores employees at the Barrie Campus. Human Resources, The First Class, The Last Class, the Alumni Association and departments from different campuses are seeking Dale to train their employees. The group also aims to have training seminars for students in the near future.

If you wish to keep up-to-date on events, activities, meetings, or make suggestions, please contact Dale or any of the other student executives. You can also visit them on Facebook.
