First Year Eperience office

WE’RE HERE FOR YOU!

Georgian College’s First Year Experience office is a drop-in centre that provides warm welcome and transition programming for all new students. We’re here to help you navigate campus, learn more about student services, find a Peer Mentor or get involved with events, programming and activities on campus. Visit our “Ask Us!” tables set up throughout the college or stop by our office on the second floor of C Building, at the top of the stairs above the Bear Essentials bookstore.

Get Connected – Your Pre-Orientation

What’s the next step becoming a GRIZZLY? Attend our GET CONNECTED pre-orientation event for the chance to visit campus ahead of time and avoid line-ups on the first day of classes. Here’s the to-do list:

  • Purchase a parking pass and activate your fitness centre membership.
  • Get a personalized tour of campus and find your classrooms.
  • Attend an IT session which reviews the Student Portal. Learn how to set up your secure passwords and recovery questions, gain access to various Student Services, get tech assistance and printing help.
  • Visit the Registrar’s Office for help with fees, OSAP, courses and student cards.
  • Learn about your health insurance options if you are covered under another plan.
  • Connect with your Student Advisor.
